“Lâcher”

Perhaps like me, God has been teaching you the art of Letting Go. Letting go of the old in order to embrace the new. Letting go of what is not working so that He can bring to me what is. Letting go of trying to fix it or work it out on my own…and letting Him bring His perfect will and plans into my life, Letting go of the fear-based procrastination and embracing the life and reality of God’s words, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

LETTING IT ALLLLLLLLL GOOOOOOOOOOO. The burdens, the frustrations, the hopelessness, trying to understand the profundity of life when His ways are so far and above our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts could ever hope to be.

Yet another spiritual blow of thoughts on you….yet again a sister is having those “thinking” times.

Many of the life-changing setbacks that I have encountered over the years—professional and personal—have forced me to re-evaluate and reassess my life priorities, to “let go” of certain hopes, dreams and goals, and to learn how to see the opportunity in apparent adversity.

One of my hardest life lessons has been realizing that holding on to a person, a goal or a dream can be destructive. Many times trying to “go back through the old door” is not what is needed to keep growing and thriving. These setbacks also require learning to recognize when it is time and a necessity to integrate the change or loss and “let go.” Perhaps the most difficult part of “letting go” is finding the internal strength to recognize it is time and then letting the person, or thing go, and let the dream die…

So today is yet another step in setting myself free and letting go of all that which isn’t progressive or productive anymore…one of my favorites quotes by Kathleen R. Fischer quotes” At every point in the human journey , we find that we have to let go in order to move forward; and letting go means dying a little. In the process we are being created  a new, awakened afresh to the source of our being.

Always find reasons that make you smile in this life do not hold onto that which makes you sad…be it ideas, people, thoughts, dream whatever isn’t happening then it is never meant to be!

Blessed week my people!
